With years of experience as commercial and chancery counsel we know what to do and how it to do it.
Legalis Law is a trading name for Martin Langston, a Barrister at Law; a member of Contract Law Chambers whose members are authorised and regulated by the Bar Standards Board.
Martin has gained wide experience in commercial and chancery law whilst working out of two sets of traditional chambers as well via the direct access scheme which allows clients to instruct him directly without the need for a solicitor.
Prior to his career in law Martin was involved in the world of computing and gained a Masters in Science from the University of Liverpool in Distributed Systems, studying artificial intelligence amongst other things. It is here at Legalis Law that Martin is bringing cutting edge computing techniques and law together for the benefit of his clients.
By using up to date technology the cost of litigating can be substantially reduced, so much so that Legalis Law is able to offer many elements of its services at prices which are fixed from the outset. Clients are therefore often able to commit to each stage individually giving them a greater amount of control over the costs of litigation than would otherwise be possible.
An additional benefit is that having the prices of many of the elements of litigation fixed from the outset also provides a considerable degree of transparency about the total cost of the litigation if it were to proceed all the way to trial.
We believe this approach represents a step change in good practice within law firms as well as a considerable benefit to our clients. After all the most important question clients ask their legal representatives at the outset is usually "How much will this cost?"
